Biography

Mr. Saiz is an attorney and associate teaching professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs. He teaches a variety of online and onsite classes, including criminal justice, criminal justice and the constitution, criminal law, and criminal courts. Mr. Saiz is currently the chapter adviser to Phi Alpha Delta Pre-law Fraternity and coach of the mock trial teams which compete at a National Conference and state competitions. He is also an assistant chapter advisor for the Criminal Justice Honor Society Alpha Phi Sigma. Professor Saiz has been working with and mentoring these students for over a decade. 

Most recently, with the help of Professor Saiz, on the weekend of April 5-7, 2024, FIU's Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Chapter hosted their second annual national mock trial tournament. Mr. Saiz will be leading our talented pre-law students to further competitions in the Fall.
