Biography
Dr. Lisa Stolzenberg is a criminologist and professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Florida International University’s Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs. She holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of Florida and both an M.S. and Ph.D. in Criminology from Florida State University.
Her research centers on quantitative methodologies, with a focus on crime analysis, prosecutorial discretion, criminal sentencing, and the effects of law and policy. Her work has been published in top-tier journals such as Criminology, Justice Quarterly, Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency, Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, American Sociological Review, Social Forces, and Social Problems.
Dr. Stolzenberg has received research funding from the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) and the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), and has held research positions with Westat, Inc., the Justice Research and Statistics Association, the Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services, and the Florida Department of Corrections.
